MEP provides communication system for waterways in Flanders

Flanders rivers and channels are an essential part of the transport via water in Belgium and Europe. They connect main European cities and are the access point to major European inland waterway routes in western Europe.

'De Vlaamse waterweg' has issued an order to renew and modernize the VHF and broadcast system in the period 2020 – 2023. Centralisation of Traffic Posts are part of the drive to improve communication and efficiency in traffic guidance of  barges without compromising safety.

Turnhout – Antwerp

MEP systems have been selected and will be installed and maintained in close cooperation with Radio Holland.

In the meantime the corridor Turnhout – Antwerp is renewed successful. MEP delivered the systems within time and budget and to full satisfaction of the customer.
