Austro Control rolls out MEP systems at 5 airports in Austria

Austro Control, responsible for all Air Traffic Control in Austria has been looking for a straightforward back up system for 5 of its locations. Austro Control preferred a switchless solution to avoid a central location.

After evaluation the MEP switchless 5.7 inch consoles have been selected. In close cooperation between MEP and Austro Control, specific requirements and configuration requests have been realized, within time and budget.

Mr. Baumgartner of Austro Control states: “Throughout the project I have been very impressed and pleased with the overall project management of MEP. MEP has been very fast in responding to any request, clarification or documents we needed. Furthermore they have taken our feedback into development of some new functionalities for their switchless solution.” The project was realized in 2020 and is put in operation in Q1 2021.
